Local rockers The Palava return to our pages with soulful, indie pop anthem, Lie To Me.

York-based indie rock band who have featured on these pages before, but not since 2021. It’s great to have them back thanks to their most recent single, Lie To Me.

In my previous coverage of their track Dead Heat, I described it as not “your typical rock track.” You could say the same thing about Lie To Me. The vocals bring elements of soul into the mix, and there’s an undercurrent of indie pop that makes the track accessible. All the while, its lyrics are powerfully full of longing. Fans of The Strokes will definitely find a lot to love about it.
