A Sheffield-based singer songwriter, Frazer Harris is inspired as much by modern day folk from the likes of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds as the ’70s psychedelia of David Bowie. He’s just hit my radar through his debut single, Amongst The Wolves.

Opening with some pensive, lingering soft rock, the track quickly builds atmosphere through a first verse that beautifully showcases Frazer’s expressive vocals. Poetic lyrics, about Frazer’s transformative experience living alone and off the grid, invite others to challenge themselves, especially during a soaring, image-laden chorus.

Amongst The Wolves was produced by David Glover who has previously worked with Tiny Dancers and fellow Sheffielder Self Esteem. It was recorded at Tesla Studios in Sheffield. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
