Slou began sharing music on SoundCloud in 2017 and has just hit our radar for the first time through his atmospheric track, Old Street Lamps.

Jazz isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I think the way Slou is doing it might win a few sceptics over to the genre. His new track Old Street Lamps perfectly blends the old and the new, giving us a timeless effort with a modern edge. A memorable melody draws the listener in while plenty of unexpected twists and turns in the composition keeps them interested until the end.

It’s perhaps Slou’s background in house and EDM that gives him such a fresh take on the jazz genre. I’m looking forward to hearing more from him.
