Frequently featuring on this blog, Linebug are a pair of artists of whom I never seem to tire. Continuing their series of Portraits of Invisible Places, their latest track and video is called The Creek.
By Graeme Smith
Line Bøgh and Christian Gundtoft’s “portraits” all take place in the overlooked parts of East Germany, a region that the duo now call home after emigrating from their native Denmark. The Creek explores Altenburg and its Blaue Flut. There’s a beautiful sense of movement in the piece with Line’s characterful vocals starring as always. Her lyrics touch on the tradition of the town, and how water weaves its way invisibly through our society.
The Creek is out now and you can check out Christian’s hand-animated video for it below.
