If you’ve been browsing our pages over the past three years, you’ll have surely seen the name Wotts before. The Canadian pop duo have been entertaining us with their distinct sound since 2022.

Their latest single is sinking II, the follow up reimagining of their November 2024 release, sinking. I described the original as “immersive” which feels all to appropriate given its title. Sinking II very much picks up where it left off, giving a soft yet absorbing dreamscape. Electronic layers pile on top of each other while laidback vocals add an organic touch. The catchy refrain from the original returns.

Consisting of Jayem on vocals and various instruments, and Ricky 100 on bass and guitar, Wotts continue to be firm favourites of ours here at York Calling.
