It was a return from a twelve-year hiatus that put Seattle, USA’s Wonderful onto our radar for the first time in July 2024.

I found myself enchanted by their single So Sentimental, so when their latest, Just So Beautiful, crossed my proverbial desk, I knew I had to share it. Like So Sentimental, it gives us bright, psychedelic pop. A light and spacey intro gives way to a groovy verse before things arrive at a romantic, life-affirming chorus.

Wonderful are Jason Holstrom, Jon e. Rock, Peter Sali, and Noah Star Weaver. The group met in college in the mid-’90s and have been making music together for over 30 years, influenced by the likes of Beach Boys and Daft Punk.
