Based in Portland, Oregon, USA, Ceremony Shadows are a post-punk act who are new to our blog through their new single, Prey.

Opening with an intoxicating, pulsating electronic beat, the track takes time building atmosphere before launching into an edgy, industrial-tinged verse. A ponderous chorus sees vocals swapped, giving us plenty of varied textures to get our ears around. Lyrically, the track explores the concept of the collective victim, challenging the listener to not accept the status quo.

Ceremony Shadows consists of Timo, Anastasia and Jakub who collectively have roots in the USA, Germany and Poland. Their music has been well-received in Europe as well as Stateside. You can now count us among their fans.
