Discovery: Hidden Youth show their pedigree through emo-tinged new single

Hidden Youth are a Leeds-based band who combine ’90s and ’00s emo and punk rock to create a distinct sound. They’re new to our blog through their latest single, Vignette.

By Graeme Smith

Vignette is a track that wastes no time getting stuck in. A pacy riff sets the scene during an extended intro before expressive, almost spoken-word vocals come in during the verse. The emotion stays high throughout, hitting a striking climax in the chorus.

Featuring members of Nai Harvest, D-Rail, Beecher and Eighty Six, Hidden Youth certainly have some pedigree. The Leeds rock scene is booming at the moment and they’re playing their part.

Vignette is out now and you can give it a listen below.
