Hamilton Hound is a project based in Bearsted, Kent, a small village that yours truly once called home. They’ve just hit my radar through their grief-ridden new single, You Don’t Have To Hide.

Teaming up with James Mason, Hamilton tempers the weightiness of the topic of grief with layers of resilience and hope. Bright, brassy notes provide the undercurrent for his hip-hop flow while the track beautifully blends elements of classic song-writing with modern pop edginess. And it’s insatiably groovy.

You Don’t Have To Hide is a real mould-breaker, and combines a vibrant, danceable instrumental with thoughtful, stirring lyrics. I’m very excited about what Hamilton Hound is putting out.
