Discovery: Spectre Horsemen Pale With Dust release atmospheric new EP

Exploring themes of surveillance and unease, Hisayasu Satō Voyeurism Blues is the new experimental EP from Spectre Horsemen Pale With Dust.

By Graeme Smith

A brooding, minimal number, Hisayasu Satō Voyeurism Blues is a piece that takes its time unfolding. The atmospheric sound of the wind blowing provides the bedrock to some melancholic piano and double bass before a brassy melody comes in. There’s a sense of the morose about it all. It’ll take to you a dark world that feels somehow familiar.

The EP comes with two versions of the composition, an original version and an Eulogy Version which delves deeper over eight and a half minutes.

Regular readers of this blog will know I love music that’s a bit out there and Spectre Horsemen Pale With Dust certainly fit the bill. I’ll be keeping a close eye for future releases from them.
