Discovery: Elliot Minor stage a comeback with dramatic new single

Based right here in our fair city of York, Elliot Minor are new to our blog thanks to their first single in over a decade, How Does It Feel.

York is a wonderful city. Every time I think we’ve ferreted out every act worth mentioning from our music scene, another comes along. I’d like to say Elliot Minor are new to this blog because they haven’t released anything for over ten years, but we’ve been going longer than that.

There’s clearly appetite for a comeback. The band have sold out a UK tour and will be playing the hallowed rock grounds of Download Festival this year. It’s easy to see why with such a banger of a single. How Does It Feel doesn’t hold its punches, hitting hard right from the off and building dramatically. The vocals steal the show, especially during a singalong chorus, and things end big. Lyrically, the track tackles inner conflict and resilience.

How Does It Feel was produced by the band’s Alex Davies, and was mixed and engineered by Larry Hibbitt. It’s out now on the band’s own label and is available to buy on hand-pressed vinyl. You can give it a listen below.
