British Colombia, Canada-based pop rock artist Darrian Gerard has been appearing on our blog since 2021. Her latest single explores the feeling of being let down and is called Two Tickets.

The track shows us a rockier side of her sound. Inspired by blink-182’s most recent album, it gives us some lively pop and emo punk that alternates between hard-hitting riffs in the chorus and smouldering, grungy verses. As ever, Darrian’s vocal is the song’s crowning glory. It’s wonderfully emotive as she pours out her melancholic story.

Two Tickets was written and produced by Darrian who also recorded it at her home studio. Mixing and mastering comes from Malcom Owen-Flood. The single is out now and you can give it a listen below.
