Formerly resident in York, Jeremy M is now based up the road in Newcastle. We won’t hold that against him though.

We’ve been covering the alternative pop singer-songwriter’s work since 2022. He first featured on these pages through his single Boys Don’t Cry, and popped up in Jane’s Pride roundup. More recently, his track what i believe hit our pages towards the end of 2024.
Jeremy has an inimitable style which brings together elements of dream pop, folk and rock. His latest single Little Man is a perfect case in point, simmering during a stripped-back first verse before building to an emotional, layered chorus. The vocals are soulful throughout, telling a story of identity and self-acceptance in a big, complex world, a story inspired by Jeremy’s experience of travelling abroad to visit his dad ahead of heading off to university for the first time.
A finely-crafted track, Jeremy worked with producer Jamie Amos to bring it to life at his farm studio where it was recorded. If you like contemporaries like Liang Lawrence or tinyumbrellas, you’re going to find a lot of love for what Jeremy M is doing.
Little Man is out now and you can give it a listen below.
