Harrison Rimmer recently performed his biggest gig to date, opening for Frank Turner at the O2 Academy in Leeds. We, of course, knew him before he was famous.

One of the first acts we featured on our blog, our coverage of his career goes right back to 2015. In the past ten years, we’ve seen his career going from strength to strength and he deserves it all. He’s one of the nicest and hardest-working musicians out there.

On Friday 11 April 2025, he’s set to release his second album, Cheaper Than Therapy, a collection that showcases his maturing sound.

The album gets going with the lively, horn-touched Shores which sees Harrison regale us with an autobiographical story, giving us an immediate sense of the introspection that’s on display across the whole album. “If my first album was the fun time, travel album, this one is the introspective, taking stock album… Whilst still having the occasional dance every now and again,” he says.

Moments like Scared and Monologue give us the introspection while upbeat tracks like Dave’s House and Cold give us the dance. Harrison has really taken the production of his tracks to the next level with his new album, but at the heart of it all is simple, relatable storytelling. It might just prove to be his breakthrough.

Cheaper Than Therapy is set for release 11 April 2025.
