The city of Nashville, USA has a booming music scene, and it’s not all country anymore. Yet, there’s still plenty of it around, and Glass Cabin are a proponent of the Americana scene there.

Their latest release is I Don’t Know, a slow, stripped-back and gritty number which combines soft nostalgia with hard edge. The storytelling in its lyrics is instantly arresting, as are Jess Brown’s characterful vocals.
As the track moves into its chorus, things ramp up. A nuanced country-rock instrumental by Dave Flint gives us plenty of replay value as we unpack it all. What doesn’t need unpacking, though, is the track’s emotion, which gives a sense of unrest and uneasiness.
Glass Cabin brings together the experienced songwriting of Jess Brown with country rock stalwart Dave Flint. They’ve been appearing on our blog since 2022 when I ran the rule over their self-titled EP. The following year, they were back on our pages with their album, Glass Cabin 2.
I Don’t Know is the latest single from their upcoming third album. I think I might be able to hazard a guess what the new album might be called.
