A solo artist from right here in York, Pannik (real name Joe Douglas) is new to our blog through his latest single, Teeth.

Teeth is a moody, grungy number, opening understated before hitting you around the chops with a big, fuzzy riff. A woozy verse brings some melancholy to proceedings before it’s all shrugged off during a soaring, rousing chorus. It’s an exquisitely crafted rock track.

A composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Douglas has taken nearly two years from releasing his music to refine his sound. It shows with Teeth. The track is the first single to be release from his upcoming debut EP, set to be out in the summer.
