Fed up with watching others seize their opportunities while she was stuck in a rut, Mara Liddle has exploded onto the scene with her new track, SWEET TALK.

SWEET TALK combines the frenetic heavy sound of jungle and dance with accessible pop. Liddle’s vocals are beautifully charismatic as they deliver emotional, wistful lyrics that speak of being over it. With a sound reminiscent of trend setters like PinkPantheress and Charli XCX, the beat comes and goes, providing some lush and interesting textures right up to its lingering finish.

It’s an impressive debut from the Newcastle-under-Lyme-based artist and proof that it’s never pointless chasing one’s dreams. I forsee great things from Mara Liddle.
