Discovery: Autumn Hollow release raw and relatable time capsule of an album

Written by teacher and musician Brendan Murphy during the pandemic, Autumn Hollow‘s new album Say No More acts as a kind of time capsule to the way were back then.

By Graeme Smith

Say No More is a collection of raw and relatable country rock. Characterful vocals tug at the heartstrings while we get plenty of unexpected textures in the instrumental of opener, title track Say No More. There are bluesy moments such as If This Keeps Up, soft and soulful moments like Fever & Fatigue, and biting and dark moments like The Great Dying. Heck To Pay ends things with some jazzy noodling.

The album was recorded at Soul Shop in Medford, Massachusetts, USA with Titus Andronicus collaborator Elio DeLuca. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
