Better Days is a track that’s dripping in summer vibes. A bass groove underpins its soft keys and traces of strings while the vocals are suitably laidback, building in passion during a punchy chorus. If you’re not nodding your head along by that point, you’ll want to check yourself checked out. Things work into a hypnotic lather as the track reaches its conclusion.

“This one really came out of me processing some bad stuff that happened last summer,” explains Wotts vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jayem, “I wanted it to feel like a soundtrack to a summer night when stuff feels a bit heavy and all you can do is hope for the best.”

Inspired by the likes of Tame Impala and Gorillaz, Better Days follows The Police-esque NOT US in teasing the Ottawa, Canada-based duo’s next EP, FLANK!, which is set for release later in the summer. The track feels at once classic Wotts while also giving us something fresh and new from an act that we’ve been covering on our pages since 2023.

Better Days is produced by Jayem and features bass and guitar from Ricky 100. The track is out now and you can give it a listen below.
