Exploring obsession and fantasy, Dreamt You is the latest single from up-and-comer Angel Murray.

Opening with some hard-edged percussion, Dreamt You hits a hypnotic groove in the verse before becoming hooky in the chorus. Murray’s vocals are understated throughout, conveying a lot with a little thanks to their character and soulfulness. There’s a haunted feeling about it all, and a uniqueness. It’s unlike anything I’ve heard before and defies categorisation.

“This song was inspired by the vulnerability and intensity of wanting someone so deeply that they inhabit your dreams,” Murray explains. “I’ve experienced both sides—being the one obsessed and being the one placed on a pedestal. It’s fascinating and slightly frightening to witness how much someone’s perception of you can shape their emotions.”

2025 is a big year for London-based Murray as she moves from her teens to her twenties. Dreamt You is her first single release of the year, teeing up an exciting future ahead. We’ve been flying the flag for her since last year so it’s great to see her music go from strength to strength.
