Scotland’s The Marches Come Back Around to our blog with their latest pop rock single.
By Graeme Smith
Opening pensive and stripped-back, Come Back Around soon finds an uneasy groove that perfectly matches the philosophy of its lyrics. They’re expressively delivered by the vocals in the before before things get big and bombastic in the chorus. As the track moves towards its crescendo we get echoing licks of guitar which are particularly satisfying. It has the swagger of classic rock with the soul-searching of modern pop, a deadly combination.
I love how The Marches are doing things differently and they make the kind of music to which I often return. They’re definitely ones to watch.
Come Back Around is out now and you can give it a listen below.
