Intended to counter the short attention spans and propaganda of TikTok and other social media, Lies is the expansive new house track from Leeds-based producer Matt Burnside aka The Ocean Beneath.

A smouldering and soulful opening eases us into Lies before a heavy, ’80s-esque layer of synth comes in. Flashes of percussion adds some texture as the track gets into a hypnotic groove. We get plenty of atmosphere throughout as we settle into an absorbing trance that plays out over seven and a half minutes.
