Written after moving back to Germany and missing road trips in Scotland, Jump in the River is the latest single from Lucie Glang.

Rich with storytelling, the folksy first verse of Jump in the River proves instantly gripping. Glang’s vocals certainly help, full of expression and charm. A rousing, image-laden chorus is reminiscent of Of Monsters and Men at their finest. The lyrics speak of escaping it all and finding happiness in abandon. I couldn’t help but be stirred by it all.
“I wrote it to escape our loud and fast world and remember the freedom and peace I felt living in my campervan with my dog, going surfing and waking up to the sound of birds, not cars,” says Glang of the track.
The song was created with the help of California-based producer Dominic Romano (a name you may recognise in relation to another York Calling favourite, Luna Keller.) It’s the second release from Lucie Glang’s second EP, coming in November 2025, released through Nashville-based Tonetree.
Jump in the River is out now and you can give it a listen below.
