Regular readers of our blog may recognise the name Gal Musette. Now, Grace Freeman of the act is back as one third of a new trio. They’re called Tin Angel and their latest release is Couch Song.

Delivered through an intimate, one-take live session, Couch Song proves to be an instantly captivating track. Lush vocal harmonies characterise the early running, poured over folksy, Joni Mitchell-esque acoustic guitar. The lyrics, which celebrate friendship, are poetic and emotionally delivered, not letting up until the track’s lingering, heart-warming finish.

Alongside Freeman, the trio is made up by Taylor Sackson and Daisy Abrams. There’s a chemistry between the three that bodes well for the future. I can’t wait to see where they take things.
