Annis Rallis returns with country rock tale of betrayal

North East-based singer-songwriter Annis Rallis returns with a hard-hitting new single, Fake Love.

By Graeme Smith

Fake Love will have you moving as much as it will have you feeling. A tale of betrayal in love unfolds against a country-rock backdrop. Pop sentiments cut through it all, making it instantly and lastingly approachable. Rallis’s vocals are the star of the show, of course; they’re beautifully emotive and compelling throughout.

The track was recorded with Tom Grimm on electric guitar, Robert Lindemann on bass, Jochen Weiss on drums & production, and Yanik Bleuert & Johannes Weik on demo production.

“This was a labour of love,” Rallis says. “Every sound, every word, came from real experience. The musicians helped me turn pain into power.”

Rallis’s music first appeared on our blog in September 2024 through her single Éna Astéri. Since then, she’s been working on her music, performing live with her guitar in local venues such as Stack Newcastle and Redworth Hall, as well as touring in musical productions such as Dirty DancingWest Side StoryRock of Ages, and more across Europe.

Fake Love is out now and you can give it a listen below.
