An urgent instrumental in the verse provides a striking backdrop to Spear’s soft yet biting vocals. A soaring change up in the chorus gives us some memorable contrast while the defiant lyrics there prove stirring. Pretty is the perfect mix of pop and rock, giving us an arrangement that has us moving while making a point with its lyrics. As the track reaches its climax, things get nice and heavy.

The track marks a return to our blog for the London-based artist. She hit our radar in early 2024 but we’ve not shared anything of hers since. I’m glad that’s all changed now.
