Returning with a new collaboration with fellow independent artist, Austen the Poet, KC Star tugs on the heartstrings with his latest single.

Opening delicate and stripped back, this reimagining of in my dreams gives us the full effect of the emotional vocals. They tell a story of separation and heartbreak, and are full of a raw and pleading honesty. As the first verse progresses, we get more and more electronic textures in the instrumental before things explode into rich, cinematic life in the chorus. It’s highly effective; my heart was stirred.

The Los Angeles, USA-based KC Star has been appearing on our blog since 2022 yet it’s been over a year since we last shared anything from him. In my dreams proves a memorable return.
