The ever astute Prince of Sweden is back with a new track that explores sudden and unexpected heartbreak, Points of View.
By Graeme Smith
Points of View has a classic rock and roll feel to it. It bristles with a certain Arctic Monkeys energy, a comparison that becomes even stronger when you listen to its storytelling lyrics. They explore the reaction of someone whose partner has left without warning and is finding comfort at the bottom of a tub of Ben & Jerry’s. There’s more to it though, and a second verse throws the narrative outward.
The London-based Prince of Sweden has been a stalwart of our pages since 2021, and I can never quite get enough of his poetic folk rock.
Points of View will feature on his new album, set for release in September 2025. It’s out now, and you can listen to it below.
