A simmering, stripped-back verse gives way to an impactful chorus in Gerard’s latest single. As ever, her melancholic vocals had me enraptured as they tell the story of deciding to move on. Production and co-writing by Kayla Diamond gives the whole story a cinematic shine.

British Columbia, Canada-based Darrian Gerard has been bringing her brand of pop rock to our pages since 2022, combining pop punk and alternative rock in her own unique blend. Need Her feels like her most ambitious effort to date.

Impressively, Gerard will be opening for Canadian legends Nickleback on 9 August 2025. This could be her moment.
