If you’ve been following our blog at all, you’ll know Love Ghost. Now, the LA-based artist is joining forces with an act who are a little closer to home.
By Graeme Smith
His latest release, Worth It, sees him collaborate with London’s The Skinner Brothers, an emerging favourite on the UK live scene. Love Ghost has a penchant for collabs, working with the likes of Rico Nasty and Tim Skold in the past, but this one might be the most unexpected yet.
Love Ghost’s sound ranges from the frenetic to the intimate, and Worth It manages to sit at both ends of the spectrum. Emotional lyrics are, of course, the focal point, with the passion spilling over in a cathartic chorus. There we get some big rock riffs and plenty to get lost in.
The track grapples with self-esteem, asking the question: am I enough? There’s plenty to relate to and the delivery feels authentic. Love Ghost has carved out a niche in this space and the addition of The Skinner Brothers is an inspired touch.
Love Ghost is fast becoming a giant of the underground pop and rock scene. He’s a grafter and smart with it, homing in on the right acts to work with on his rise. I’m a fan, and his fanbase is ever growing.
