I love how the more we learn about Kat Kikta, the more of an enigma she becomes.

Her latest release is a collab, but it’s no ordinary one. It sees the London-based multi-dimensional artist, singer, and songwriter combine her solo project with her Sophia Aya one, meaning we find out what a blend of her two sounds is like.

The answer is: utterly unique. Your Voice In My Ear pushes the boundaries of intimacy, playing out through low, ethereal layers and captured audio. Two voices intermingle, one human, one artificial, giving us a contrast between expressive and deadpan. Headphones are a must.

The track comes complete with a video which adds a cinematic element to the whole story. Here, too, there is contrast with urban images interspersed with vast rural landscapes.

Kat Kikta is at the forefront of pop; she’s soundtracking the present and the future.
