Bristol’s Lady Nade first featured on our blog late last year through her exploration of generational trauma, One Of Us. Her new single is also family-focused, but with a very different slant.

Bloom is a tribute to her late grandfather, who has inspired her so much musically. The track and its video explore powerful themes such as grief and growth. Before his passing, Lady Nade cared for him as he developed Alzheimer’s.
“Bloom weaves together imagery of seeds, flowers, and nature in a way that captures life’s full-circle journey,” she explains. “It’s a tribute to him and the quiet beauty of becoming.”
Her unique vocal beautifully renders the story, backed by a folksy, acoustic instrumental. The track is elegant in its musical simplicity, giving plenty of space and weight to its stirring message of preservation and transformation.
Along with One Of Us, Bloom will feature on Lady Nade’s upcoming album Identity, due for release in August 2026. You can guarantee that I’ll be giving the album a spin.
