I’ve always had what I consider to be a vast music taste, but it’s fair to say that punk is where my heart truly lies. Keeping this in mind, it should come as no surprise that I’m sharing a song by new discovery, Drama Dolls.
By Jane Howkins
Curiously titled SALAD, my introduction to Drama Dolls’ sound is fast and raucous, simply oozing a sense of energy and attitude that belongs firmly within the punk rock scene. SALAD is undeniably catchy to behold, using a simplistic yet beautiful chord sequence to ensure the track gets well and truly stuck in your head. Whilst the lyrics may sound a little silly at first (they’re very food related), the band still manages to demonstrate an anti-authority stance, singing about doing and eating the things you enjoy, instead of what you’re told to do/eat.
