La Belgique sees American garage rockers Soraia jumping straight out of the gate within the first second of the tune starting, using a killer guitar lick to do so.

Soraia are another band that bend genres a little bit – whilst La Belgique certainly has moments of alternative rock, garage rock and indie rock, I also felt it was quite a punky song too – particularly with how fast-paced the song actually is. There’s a cool breakdown after an epic guitar solo later on, but apart from that, the tension and speed never really lets up, with the catchy melodies ensuring that La Belgique will be stuck in your head for hours to come. The chorus also features some haunting backing harmonies, showing a band with a keen ear for a melodious tune. I also felt the vocals reminded me a little of the vocalist from punkers Billy Talent – see if you agree here:
