Last Friday, York’s Little Festival of Live Music went acoustic pop. The annual fundraiser for York Mind that runs on Parliament Street alongside the York Food And Drink festival entertained the punters with fours acts, starting with acoustic duo Kitty VR, followed by punk four-piece Bull and concluding with soloist Andy Doonan and rockers The Blueprints. Last Friday, the first of seven nights of York’s Little Festival of Live Music started with a bang. The annual festival runs alongside the Food and Drink Festival on Parliament Street and aims to raise funds for York Mind by giving audience access to some of York’s finest performers, all for free! With applications from musicians wishing to be part of this year’s festival having closed last week, the team behind York’s Little Festival of Live Music now have the mammoth task of whittling 511 applications down to 28 acts, who will be performing at this year’s festival, which will take place on Parliament Street from 22 – 30 September (excluding 25 and 26 September).
