The brilliant Cheltenham-based, independent, green-fields rock festival 2000trees Festival have announced their 3rd set of acts for this summer’s event, including the events final, main headliners. The festival takes place on 6, 7 and 8 July and the bands announced are Friday co-headliners Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes with Nothing But Thieves and Saturday co-headliners Lower Than Atlantis with Slaves.

With all of the four co-headliner bands for this year’s event (as well as Thursdays headliner) being from these fair shores, 2000trees has again invested in exciting and emerging UK and British talent. All these bands will also be taking their first steps as a festival headliners at 2000trees Festival, a feat that continues from last year with Twin Atlantic.
Other bands also announced are Thursday headliner Mallory Knox, The Menzingers, Honeyblood, Skinny Lister, Young Guns, Will Varley, Kevin Devine, Roam, Rollo Tomassi, Tall Ships, Brutus, Puppy, Decade, Big Spring, Kamikaze Girls, and Ducking Punches.
Lower Than Atlantis front man, Mike Duce said: “We are really excited to return to 2000trees this summer. It will be our first UK festival since our new record came out so it’ll be great to play a lot more of those songs whilst everyone’s getting drunk in a field. Lots of our mates are playing too so it’ll be a good time in a beautiful part of the country.”
Mikey Chapman of Mallory Knox said: “We’re really looking forward to getting back to 2000 trees again this year, we had an awesome time last year can’t wait to do it all again with a new set.”
Other already announced acts are: The Wonder Years, Pulled Apart By Horses, Jamie Lenman, Beach Slang, Black Peas, Feed The Rhino, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Muncie Girls, Gnarwolves, Slotface, Black Foxxes, De Staat, The Hyena Kill, Get Inuit, Acres, Peaness, Moses, Wallflower, Grumble Bee, Shvpes, Bad Sign, Bellevue Days, Weirds, Personal Best, Cassels, Doe, Fizzy Blood, Soeur, Jonah Matranga, Giants, Tigercub, The One Hundred, Queen Kwong, Area 11, Greywind, Strange Bones, Away Days, Apologies I Have None, The St Pierre Snake Invasion, Louise Distras, Milestones, Polary, Making Monsters, Wars, Vukovi, Straight Lines, Steven Battelle and Petrol Girls.
Festival organiser James Scarlett says: “Right now the UK rock scene is in ridiculously strong health and we’re very happy to be giving these bands a chance to co-headline a UK festival bill. Slaves will close the festival main stage on the Saturday night, with co-headliners Lower Than Atlantis on just before them. On the Friday we’ve got headliners Nothing But Thieves following Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes and let’s not forget Mallory Knox on our Thursday early entry night. It truly feels like 2000trees version 11 is going to be the best one yet. Roll on July!”
2000trees Festival is located on Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. GL54 4BL. It’s £83 for a two-day ticket (Friday and Saturday) and £100 for a full three-day ticket (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). Ticket are available via the festival website.
