We run down some of the tracks we’ve been listening recently.

Cat Ryan – Like This

17-year-old London singer-songwriter Cat Ryan track is elegant in its simplicity. Twanging indie guitar reminiscent of Two Door Cinema Club play beneath Cat’s compelling, authentic voice. Definitely one to watch.

Jack Blacksoul – Lookatmyface

Severe German rap artist Jack Blacksoul shows off his lyrics in multiple tongues in his latest video for track Lookatmyface, rapping in English, French and an African dialect. The throbbing beat provides the perfect backdrop to Jack’s challenging flow.

LUCASV – Reach ft./ BliBli & Zaire

20-year-old French producer has produced a beautiful jazz masterpiece through Reach. Scat and rap vocals play over chilled out keys, creating a track perfect for a  quiet night in with a bottle of wine.

Sandy Scribbles – Kaytranada

A well-crafted animated video accompanies Sandy Scribbles’ chilled-out track Kaytranada, a track about lost love and missing Summer. It’s perfect to shake off the winter blues! This American singer-songwriter’s voice is the perfect tonic on an overcast day.

Mezmeh – X feat. Breana Marin

UK rapper Mezmeh is joined by the enchanting voice of Breana Marin on low-key track X. A tale of repeatedly being burnt by love, it’s a relatable tale delivered through Mezmeh’s clever lyrics and produced admirably by Young Taylor.

YoungQueenz & N.O.L.Y feat. Yung Takeem – YAT PIT

YoungQueenz & N.O.L.Y are influencers in the Hong Kong rap scene and their track YAT PIT crosses international borders to create something that is instantly catchy and immensely entertaining. You have to see the video to fully appreciate it.

The Buns – My Love (Live in London)

Part music video, part documentary, My Love (Live In London) introduces French duo The Buns to the world by simultaneously showcasing their infectious punk rock and their captivating live performance. Let’s hope they return to our shores soon!
