Stop is a loose-limbed retro pop shout out, calling to mind artists like (Sandy) Alex G and Matthew E. White, whilst still managing to make the band’s music sound like their own.

It’s actually the first track to be released from the new album by Paul Cook & the Chronicles, which is a good sign considering how good this track is. It’s catchy and melodic, yet never strays into sell-out territory, with the band’s pop-rock style feeling just right for the summer.
