Ban Drill is something a little different from the normal music videos we feature on York Calling in that it is part music video and part short film. It’s an intriguing combination.

Ban Drill tells the prevalent but undertold story of how poor black kids end up in a life of crime, starting out with few prospects, raised well enough but drawn into crime because they are growing up around crime. The video is directed by Rapman and the films is punctuated by verses from the award-winning Krept & Konan.
