Life in Japan is the third single we’ve shared from American bedroom pop artist Kowloon.

When writing about Kowloon before, I drew a comparison to Talking Heads. The parallels are all the more distinct in Life In Japan, a track built on bass groove and chilled guitar hooks. Yet, there is still plenty of Kowloon’s personal voice in it as well. It’s a song about feeling a stranger in your own home, a story Kowloon tells with intricate detail and abstract poetry.
Life In Japan is a beautiful follow up to English Morning and I, for one, get excited when I see new music from this guy. Check out the track below.
