Alias is an American bedroom pop artist who first caught my attention last month with his track I’m Gonna Live – a song penned by his father that he had modernised. His latest effort also feels it belongs to the current age. Human is a meditation on Alias’s difficult teen years.

What I love most about Human is it’s layered, atmospheric electronic instrumentals and the catchy melody of its chorus. In the lyrics, poetry meets authentic emotion and the sort of universal understanding to which anyone who struggled in their teens (which is likely most people) will relate.
It’s great that Alias has been able to create such a wonderful piece of art from this clearly dark time in his life. You can check out Human below.
