Close your eyes and be transported to an evergreen forest. The piece has a wonderful attention to detail, starting quiet but growing like the tall trees around you. Percussion is even used to simulate the sound of trunks creaking in the wind. The complexity of the composition grows like an intricate matrix of leaves and pine needles.
The piece is taken from Ai Rei’s forthcoming EP Vaste which is set to be released on 14 May. Check out Vaste III below and treat yourself to a few minutes of meditation.
