Klara Keller is a Swedish electro and bedroom pop artist who has caught my attention through her sad girl summer single. It’s called Sad Thinking About You.

Sad Thinking About You isn’t your typical pop track. It combines layers of electronic instrumentals that are somehow simultaneously retro and modern. Klara’s vocals have a unique quality to them, half-sung, half-spoken in the verse, delivering wonderfully strong emotion. For the track Klara worked with professionals that have mixed the likes of Phoenix, Air and Daft Punk and you can tell. The production is top notch.

Klara currently lives in Paris, having decided to branch out from her native Sweden. Sad Thinking About You is her first English language single but I suspect it won’t be the last. You can give it a listen below.
