Music fans in York and regular readers of this blog will know Harrison Rimmer. A frequent gigger and probably one of the hardest working musicians I know, Harrison has been writing and performing music in York and across the world for longer than this blog has existed. His latest sees him move from his traditional acoustic rock towards a more rockabilly and punk style. It’s called The South.
By Graeme Smith
From its opening twanging guitar notes, The South sets the scene of the American mid-west. Harrison’s vocals start isolated but it’s not long before the full rock arrangement kicks it and the track’s high energy is guaranteed to get you moving. It’s impressive stuff and I’m liking this evolution of Harrison’s sound.
You can give The South a listen below.
