Gloomy June, formerly known as The Y Axes, are a pop rock band from San Francisco, USA who Jane first featured for us through her Pop Punk Revival playlist. She was so taken with the guys’ sound, she posed them a few questions too. Now they’re back with a new one. It’s called This Party Is A Warzone.

We’ve all been there. After a night of feeling invincible, you wake up and have to deal with the aftermath. This is the scenario that’s perfectly captured by Gloomy June’s This Party Is A Warzone. Mixed into the chaos is a sense of celebration. The band were inspired by the reopening of venues after the COVID lockdown and it shows. It’s definitely one to let loose to.
