New Music: Finter. – Honey

I first featured Salzburg, Austria-based alternative pop singer songwriter Finter on the blog last autumn through his wonderfully unique track Lidocaine. Now he’s back with a new one that’s just as exciting. It’s called Honey.

By Graeme Smith

Honey opens in a woozy, textured sort of way. Electronic elements blur with organic ones. It tells the story of being cheated on a relationship, and the pain and vulnerability comes alive through the vocal delivery and the imagery in the lyrics. As the track progresses, jazzy guitar and bass come in, and a solo elevates the arrangement into the stratosphere.

It’s another wonderful offering from an artist who has found a strong sound and isn’t afraid of using his artistic voice. You can listen to Honey below.
