Fran Lusty has featured a couple of times on this blog since we discovered her at the end of last year. Her brand of vulnerable indie folk never fails to delight. Now she’s back with a new one, inspired by the great author Virginia Woolf. It’s called Flight of Your Mind.

Flight of Your Mind opens with gently strummed acoustic guitar and Fran’s unmistakably characteristic vocals. Reversed piano notes provide some experimental texture and as the track progresses, a rich composition comes in. It’s such a lush and fulfilling track, with the beautifully poetic lyrics I’ve come to expect from Fran’s music.

Alongside Virginia Woolf, Fran was also inspired by the music of Damien Rice and fans of his will definitely find a lot to love about Flight of Your Mind. You can give it a listen below.
