Soothes My Soul opens with a moody, atmospheric instrumental that wouldn’t be out of place on the Kill Bill soundtrack. Free-flowing vocals come in, painting a picture of modern Britain’s underbelly in utterly compelling detail. Then the track hits its climax when the first soulful hook comes in.
