Hertfordshire-based The Pink Nostalgia, real name Joseph James, has appeared on the blog a couple of times already this year. Back in August I ran the rule over his emotionally-charged track Flowers. Now he’s back with a live reimagining of it, recorded at North Acre Studios.

There’s something about live performances that always ramps up the intensity of feelings and that’s what we get with this rendition. There’s a sense of immediacy about the music, while Joseph’s vocals come through clearly and powerfully. You feel the heart in every word he sings.
