Around this time last year, I discovered Swedish singer songwriter AstroMike Gordon for the blog through his vintage pop track Sants Montjuic. Now he’s back with a new version – a live rendition that brings its storytelling lyrics to life even more than the original.

I’d forgotten just how much I loved Sants Montjuic before this timely reminder. AstroMike Gordon gives it his all during this live acoustic performance. The instrumentals are gentle, creating a loving backdrop against which his vocals can shine, and the poetry of the lyrics can unfold.

The live rendition features on Re-Reviresco, a new extended version of the 2021 EP Reviresco. The EP is out now, and you can watch the video performance of Sants Montjuic below.
